What exactly is life coaching?
In a nutshell, life coaching is about helping you navigate through the different seasons and challenges of life. As a coach, I don’t give you all the answers, but I do guide you by asking the right questions and offering practical tools to help you find your own solutions. Whether you’re at a crossroads, feeling stuck, or simply want to gain clarity in your personal life, my job is to help you find direction, focus, and balance.
For me, it’s less about giving advice and more about helping you uncover the answers within yourself – while leaning on faith, personal development, and creativity as key sources of growth.
How is life coaching different from therapy or counseling?
Great question. Life coaching and therapy each have their place, but they are different in approach. Therapy often focuses on healing from past traumas and resolving emotional or psychological issues. It tends to dig deep into your emotional past to bring you to a healthier present.
Life coaching, on the other hand, is more future-focused. We aren’t necessarily diving into past wounds, but instead working on your present situation and figuring out practical steps to create a better future. It’s about personal growth, setting goals, and learning to overcome roadblocks in a clear, actionable way. If you’re looking to move forward and need some support getting there, life coaching may be the right fit for you.
That said, I always recommend therapy or counseling for those dealing with unresolved trauma, mental health issues, or deep emotional pain.
How do the coaching sessions work?
Each coaching session is tailored specifically to you. We’ll start by talking about where you’re at in life, what’s been weighing you down, and what you hope to achieve. From there, we’ll work together to create a plan that includes clear, manageable steps toward your personal goals.
Session Formats:
- 1-on-1 Coaching: In these sessions, it’s just you and me. You’ll get my undivided attention as we focus entirely on your needs. Each session lasts about an hour.
- Group Coaching: Sometimes, it helps to learn and grow alongside other people who are on a similar journey. Group coaching offers that sense of community while still giving you lots of opportunities for personal reflection and feedback.
We can meet virtually (via Zoom) or in person, depending on location and preferences.
Who are your coaching services for?
- Individuals: Especially parents or those at a crossroads in life who are looking for balance, purpose, or more direction.
- Homeschooling Parents: If you’re feeling burned out, unsure, or struggling to manage both home life and school, I offer guidance to make your homeschooling journey more manageable and fulfilling.
- Young Couples and Married Couples: I’m here to support couples who are preparing for marriage or who are already married and needing help finding deeper connection and communication.
No matter where you’re at in life, if you’re motivated to grow, reflect, and take purposeful action, I’m here to help.
What if I don’t homeschool? Can I still work with you?
Absolutely! While I do offer specialized coaching for homeschooling families, only about one-third of my clients are homeschoolers. My Coaching focuses on personal growth, parenting struggles, finding balance in life, and improving communication in relationships – topics that apply to anyone, no matter their schooling choice. if you’re not homeschooling but facing challenges in life, relationships, or parenting, we can absolutely work together.
What is homeschool consulting?
Homeschool consulting is all about helping parents successfully manage their children’s education at home. Whether you’re drowning in curriculum choices, struggling to create a daily routine, or feeling unsure about your teaching methods, I’m here to help make homeschooling approachable and sustainable. I provide everything from 1-on-1 consultations where we troubleshoot specific issues, to webinars and workshops where I guide groups through common challenges. Together, we’ll develop a personalized plan that brings structure and success to your homeschooling experience.
How do crafting workshops fit into all this?
Crafting has been a lifelong passion of mine, and I believe in the power of creativity to bring people closer together, foster growth, and allow for self-expression. My crafting workshops offer families and individuals a way to connect through creativity while bringing in larger themes like personal growth, faith, and reflection. Workshops are designed to be fun and engaging while allowing participants to slow down, enjoy some hands-on activities, and focus on meaningful conversations – whether that’s with yourself or with family members crafting right alongside you.
Do you offer faith-based coaching?
Yes. My faith guides much of what I do, and I’m happy to incorporate it into your coaching sessions fi that’s what you’re looking for. However, my services are not strictly faith-based unless you request it. I work with clients from all beliefs, backgrounds, and walks of life. My goal is to honor where you’re at, and if faith plays a major role in your life – or you’d like it to – then we can absolutely weave it into our time together.
How do I get started?
Getting started is simple! First, schedule a free consultation. This gives us both a chance to meet, chat about what you’re looking for, and decide if we’re a good fit. After that, we’ll create a plan that works for you. Whether its weekly life coaching sessions, a homeschool consulting call, or joining one of my crafting workshops, we’ll get you set up with something that suits your needs.
How much does your coaching cost?
My services are structured around packages to provide you with the best support possible. Here’s a brief breakdown:
- 1-on-1 Life Coaching: Available as individual sessions or in packages – usually over 6 to 8 weeks – for a discounted rate.
- Homeschool Consulting: Priced by the hour or by package depending on the level of support you need (e.g., curriculum planning, structure, troubleshooting).

What if I’m hesitant or unsure about coaching?
First of all, that’s completely normal. I understand that starting any kind of personal work can feel a little uncomfortable or intimidating. That is why I offer a free initial consultation – so that you can get a sense of who I am and how I work without any pressure. After that, the decision is yours completely. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. I’m here to support and encourage, not push. if it ever feels like it’s not right, you’re in control of the process.
How long will I need coaching?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. Some people find clarity and confidence in just a few sessions, while others prefer continued support over several months. It really depends on your goals and challenges. During our free consultation, we can discuss a timeline that makes sense for you. But you’re never locked in – you can adjust as we go.
